The next day—

Everyone reached school early.

But today—

Something felt different.

Someone was missing.

Ishvik.

Since there were no regular classes today because of the election program—

All of them decided to sit together in the garden.

The weather was calm…

A soft breeze…

And a peaceful silence around them.

Aarohi looked around once and asked,

“Ishvik aaj nahi aaya? Kyun?”

Before anyone else could answer—

Netrabhan replied calmly,

“Haan… aaj woh apne parents ke saath party attend karega, isliye unke saath gaya hai.”

Aarohi nodded slightly,

“Ohh…”

Kashvi, being curious, asked,

“Party attend matlab?”

Eshaan replied,

“Unlog ka business hai… uske papa CEO hai. Toh aise invitations aate rehte hai.”

Kashvi’s eyes widened a little.

Before she could say anything—

Saanvi asked,

“Matlab… next CEO wohi hai?”

Eshaan nodded,

“Haan.”

But after answering—

He didn’t look away.

He got… lost.

Not in thoughts—

But in Saanvi.

The way her eyes widened in surprise…

The innocence in her expression…

The genuine curiosity—

It made him just… stare.

Without realizing.

Saanvi noticed after a moment,

“Kya hua? Aise kya dekh rahe ho?”

Eshaan blinked quickly—

Coming back to reality.

“Kuch nahi…” he said, looking away.

Aarohi smirked slightly, noticing everything.

While Kashvi smiled faintly, understanding more than she showed.

And Netrabhan—

He was quiet.

But his eyes—

For a brief moment—

Shifted toward Kashvi.

The group sat there—

Talking, laughing, teasing—

But slowly…

Without anyone realizing—

Something was changing between all of them.

••••

After some time—

They all got up from the garden and went back toward the classroom.

A few minutes later—

The teacher entered and said,

“Jo bhi election me participate kar rahe hai apne helping partners ke saath… woh staff room me aajayein.”

Hearing this—

Netrabhan, Eshaan, and Saanvi got up and left.

Now—

Only Kashvi and Aarohi were in the class.

The room felt quiet.

A little too quiet.

Aarohi leaned her head on Kashvi’s shoulder and said lazily,

“Bohot bore ho raha hai yaar…”

Kashvi smiled slightly and said,

“Kyu? Ishvik ke bina mann nahi lag raha hai?”

Aarohi immediately sat straight,

“Kuch bhi! Mujhe toh khushi hai aaj woh nahi aaya… kam se kam shanti toh hai.”

Kashvi looked at her knowingly,

“Ohh madam… uske liye hi na aap subah se chup chaap baithi ho.”

Aarohi rolled her eyes,

“Woh toh bas aise hi… aur main chup baithi hoon iska matlab yeh nahi ki main usse miss kar rahi hoon.”

Kashvi smirked,

“Lekin Aarohi… maine toh bola hi nahi ki tu usse miss kar rahi hai.”

Aarohi paused—

Then realized what she just said.

“Arey yaar Kashvi!”

Kashvi laughed lightly,

“Kya? Jhoot bol rahi hoon kya?”

Aarohi crossed her arms,

“Haan! Tu hi kuch bhi soch rahi hai.”

Kashvi leaned closer and said teasingly,

“Chal chal… mujhe pagal mat bana. Sab notice karti hoon main.”

Then she added softly,

“Late se aayi hoon iska matlab yeh nahi ki mujhe kuch pata nahi chalega.”

Aarohi looked at her,

“Huhh? Kya bol rahi hai tu… main ja rahi hoon.”

She stood up to leave—

But before she could go—

Kashvi said casually,

“Haan haan jaa… lekin aaj mere jijaji nahi milenge dekhne ko.”

For a second—

Aarohi froze.

Completely shocked.

She slowly turned back toward Kashvi,

“Kya bola tune…?”

Kashvi looked at her innocently—

But her eyes were full of mischief.

Then she said slowly, stretching every word—

“Yehi ki… dekhne ko nahi milenge… ji-ja-ji.”

For a moment—

Aarohi just stood there—

Completely speechless.

“Kashvi!” she almost shouted in a whisper,

“Pagal ho gayi hai kya tu?!”

Kashvi laughed softly,

“Main? Ya tu?”

Aarohi quickly walked toward her and sat beside her again,

“Kisko bol rahi hai tu jijaji?”

Kashvi tilted her head and said teasingly,

“Aur kisko… Ishvik ko.”

Aarohi’s eyes widened again,

“Shut up! Aisa kuch nahi hai!”

Kashvi leaned closer,

“Accha? Toh phir itni explanation kyun de rahi hai?”

Aarohi got flustered,

“Main… main bas…”

She couldn’t complete her sentence.

Kashvi smiled,

“Dekha? Pakdi gayi na.”

Aarohi looked away, trying to hide her smile—

But her cheeks had already turned slightly pink.

Kashvi noticed it immediately.

“Aww… sharma bhi rahi hai.”

“Kashvi!” Aarohi lightly hit her arm,

“Zyada mat bol.”

Kashvi laughed,

“Theek hai theek hai… nahi bolungi.”

Then after a pause, she added softly—

“Lekin ek baat bolu?”

Aarohi looked at her,

“Kya?”

Kashvi smiled warmly,

“Woh tujhe hurt nahi karega.”

Aarohi’s expression softened for a second—

But she quickly masked it,

“Pehle usse samajh toh aa jaane de.”

Both of them smiled.

And again—

Silence filled the classroom.

But this time—

It wasn’t boring.

It was full of hidden feelings—

Unsaid truths—

And soft smiles.

Kashvi looked at Aarohi with full curiosity and excitement in her eyes.

“Chal chal… ab sach sach bata. Kabse pasand karti hai tu Ishvik ko? Aur kaise?”

Aarohi sighed,

“Tu na… bilkul nahi sudhregi.”

Kashvi folded her arms,

“Main toh sudhri hui hoon… tu bata.”

Aarohi looked away for a moment—

Then finally gave up.

“Theek hai… sun.”

She started slowly,

“Pehle main in logon ki section me nahi thi… baad me 7th class me shift hui thi inki class me. Tab hi in logon se mili.”

Kashvi listened quietly.

“Pehle ke do saal… matlab 7th aur 8th class me—”

She made a face,

“Hum dono bohot ladte the. Har baat pe.”

Kashvi smiled,

“Expected.”

Aarohi continued,

“Competition rehta tha hum dono ke beech me. Chahe padhai ho ya games… har cheez me.”

Then she added,

“Aur woh… bohot irritating tha.

Humesha irritate karta rehta tha.”

Kashvi raised an eyebrow,

“Aur ab?”

Aarohi paused for a second—

A small smile forming on her lips without her realizing.

“Baad me… pata nahi kab… uske saath acha lagne laga.”

Kashvi looked at her softly.

Aarohi quickly added,

“Lekin pehle jaisa hai… abhi bhi waise hi hai! Irritating hai woh!”

Kashvi laughed lightly,

“Haan haan… bohot irritating hai. Isliye pasand hai na.”

“Kashvi!” Aarohi hit her again.

Kashvi leaned closer and whispered teasingly,

“Ladte ladte pyaar ho gaya… movie jaisa hai.”

Aarohi rolled her eyes but couldn’t hide her smile this time.

“Kuch bhi…”

Kashvi smiled warmly,

“Tu usse kitna bhi irritate bole… lekin tu usse bohot pasand karti hai.”

Aarohi looked down—

This time she didn’t deny it.

She just smiled softly.

And that silence—

Said everything.

Aarohi’s smile slowly faded.

She looked down at her hands and said softly,

“Lekin mujhe dar lagta hai…”

Kashvi’s expression turned gentle,

“Kis liye?”

Aarohi took a small breath,

“Agar maine usse bata diya… aur usne mujhe reject kar diya toh?”

Her voice lowered,

“Aur phir… humari dosti bhi kharab ho jaayegi.”

For a moment—

Silence.

Kashvi looked at her carefully.

Not teasing this time.

Understanding.

She slowly held Aarohi’s hand and said,

“Aisa kuch bhi nahi hoga.”

Aarohi looked at her,

“Kaise itna sure ho sakti hai tu?”

Kashvi smiled softly,

“Kyuki jo tum dono ke beech hai na… woh sirf normal friendship nahi hai.”

Aarohi stayed quiet.

Kashvi continued,

“Woh tujhe irritate karta hai, ladta hai, tease karta hai… lekin kabhi tujhe ignore nahi karta.”

“Aur tu… tu bhi usse har baat pe react karti hai.”

Then she added gently,

“Tum dono ek dusre ke bina complete hi nahi lagte.”

Aarohi’s eyes softened,

But still—

Fear was there.

“Phir bhi… agar sab kharab ho gaya toh?”

Kashvi squeezed her hand lightly,

“Toh main hoon na.”

Aarohi looked at her.

Kashvi smiled,

“Aur waise bhi… kab tak chupake rakhegi? Ek na ek din toh batana hi padega.”

Then she added teasingly,

“Aur mujhe toh lagta hai… jijaji tujhe reject nahi karenge.”

Aarohi instantly reacted,

“Kashvi!”

But this time

There was no anger.

Only shyness.

And a small hope—

She didn’t want to accept yet.

••••

After some time—

The classroom door opened.

Eshaan, Saanvi, and Netrabhan entered.

Eshaan looked at them casually and asked,

“Kya baatein ho rahi hai?”

Kashvi quickly replied normally,

“Kuch nahi… bas school ke baare me puch rahi thi.”

Then her eyes went to his hand,

“Waise yeh haath me kya hai?”

Eshaan smiled slightly,

“Kuch nahi… bas abhi poster banwa ke aa rahe hai. Dekho kaisa hai.”

Kashvi took the poster in her hands.

She started looking at it carefully—

But then…

Her eyes stopped at one name.

“Netrabhan Singh Rathore”

For a moment—

Everything around her faded.

Her heartbeat suddenly increased.

Her grip on the poster tightened slightly.

She immediately stood up from her seat.

Everyone looked at her—

Confused.

She looked straight at Netrabhan and asked,

“Aapka naam kya hai?”

Netrabhan frowned slightly,

“Kya matlab?”

The rest of them were also confused.

Kashvi repeated,

“Aapka… poora naam kya hai?”

Netrabhan replied calmly,

“Netrabhan Singh Rathore.”

Kashvi’s eyes widened slightly.

Her voice almost shook as she asked,

“Aur… aap kaha ke rehne wale ho?”

Netrabhan replied,

“Rajasthan se… kyun?”

That was it.

Kashvi froze.

Her mind started running.

Her eyes showed clear shock.

Something… clicked.

Something she never expected.

She quickly said,

“Kuch nahi… main aati hoon.”

And without waiting—

She walked out of the class.

Everyone was left confused.

Eshaan frowned,

“Isse kya hua?”

Saanvi immediately stood up,

“Main dekhti hoon.”

And she left after Kashvi.

Aarohi also got up,

“Main bhi aati hoon.”

She followed them.

Now—

Only Eshaan and Netrabhan were left.

Eshaan looked at him,

“Yeh kya hua abhi?”

Netrabhan shook his head slightly,

“Pata nahi…”

But inside—

Even he felt it.

Something wasn’t normal.

And whatever just happened—

It was connected to him.

Kashvi rushed to the garden and sat down on a bench.

Her mind was completely messed up.

Thoughts… questions… memories…

Everything started coming at once.

She held her head slightly—

Trying to calm herself down.

After a few moments—

Saanvi and Aarohi came there.

Both looked worried.

They sat beside her immediately.

Saanvi asked softly,

“Kashvi… kya hua? Tu aise achanak kyun aagayi?”

Kashvi said "woh Rajasthan se hai"

Saanvi said "haan toh kya hua aur tujhe aaj pata chala kya"

Kashvi said "haan mujhe pata hi nhi tha woh Rajasthan se hai bolkar mai ab tak sochte hue aari thi ki woh bhi meri tarah Uttarpradesh se hai bolkar".

Aarohi was confused she could not understand what they both were talking.

So, Aarohi didn’t wait.

“Mujhe puri baat jaani hai.”

Kashvi looked at her—

Still confused, still shaken.

“Kya? Abhi? Aarohi… mujhe khud kuch nahi pata.”

Aarohi crossed her arms,

“Mujhe kuch bhi nahi pata lekin… tum dono kya baat kar rahe the, woh mujhe jaana hai.”

Aarohi then turned toward Saanvi,

“Tum dono toh paas me hi rehte ho na? Toh aaj raat main Kashvi ke ghar rukungi. Wahi baat karenge.”

Saanvi immediately said,

“Nahi—”

But before she could continue—

Kashvi reacted,

“Aarohi, tu pagal ho gayi hai kya? Mere ghar kyu aana hai woh bhi night stay ke liye? Tere gharwale kuch nahi bolenge?”

Aarohi looked straight at her,

“Main aaungi toh koi problem hai?”

Kashvi softened,

“Nahi… lekin tere gharwale—”

Aarohi cut her off,

“Woh main dekh lungi. Tum dono ko main tumhare ghar aake batati hoon.”

Before they could say anything—

She stood up and left.

Straight toward the classroom.

In the classroom—

She picked up her bag.

Eshaan and Netrabhan noticed her.

They were about to ask—

But before they could say anything—

She left.

Both of them looked confused.

“Ab isse kya hua?” Eshaan said.

Netrabhan just looked at the door—

Thinking.

Back in the garden—

Kashvi looked down and said softly,

“Hume pehle hi bata dena chahiye tha Aarohi ko… usse bura lag gaya hoga.”

Saanvi nodded,

“Haan… tu sahi bol rahi hai.”

Kashvi sighed,

“Mujhe bohot bura lag raha hai.”

Saanvi placed her hand on her shoulder,

“Arey koi na… tu itna sad mat ho. Shaam ko toh aa hi rahi hai na. Tab baat kar lenge.”

Kashvi nodded slowly.

After some time—

Both of them went back to the classroom.

But when they entered—

Aarohi wasn’t there.

Her bag was also gone.

Kashvi looked around and asked,

“Aarohi nahi dikh rahi…?”

Eshaan replied,

“Woh ghar chali gayi.”

Kashvi and Saanvi looked at each other,

“Chali gayi…?”

There was a pause.

Both of them nodded,

Then both of them said together,

“Hum bhi chalte hai.”

Without wast

ing time—

They picked their bags.

And left with them.

The day ended early.

But the confusion—

The tension—

And the emotions—

They were just getting started.
